Not able to install Pentaho CE, spoon.bat

I'm trying to install pdi-ce-5.2.0.0-2091.zip which I downloaded from sourceforge. When i click on spoon.bat the file unzips but then nothing else happens.

When I go to cmd prompt and type in spoon.bat I get:

I have Java installed (jre7, jdk1.8.0_20)

I'm not an IT person, so please dumb any answer all the way down so a newbie like me can understand it. tia.
