Can we create cache

I am using xactions to retrieve data and then display charts.Every time I open the chart xaction gets executed . Charts are taking same time to load every time.
I want to create cache to eliminate query execution every time to reduce loading time.

Can increasing repository cache size be the solution? Can we increase repository cache size? how?
