BI Exception Reporting

I was wondering if anyone has implemented a solution for exception reporting from the BA server.

E.g. A query/report that is scheduled to run daily and usually does not have any results (checking for some rare anomaly). Rather than requiring end users to remember to check an empty report on a daily basis, they only get the report if there is actual results to look at.

Yellowfin has similar feature
