Pentaho CDF dashboards : Network error exception handling

Hi All,

We are using pentaho CDF framework for enterprise reporting which hosts hundreds of users generating hits of order of 30K per day. We have a major problem with the users( specially the non tech savy business side users) who often complaint of page timeout errors which happens because of network connection problems at the client end. When they mail us with this problem, we direct them to logout and login and continue work. However, wanted to check if

(i) Pentaho(BI server) has any exception handling mechanism to identify when the network goes out, it automatically logs out from the application as well with a message saying "Internet connection lost & you have been logged out of the application"
(ii)Is there any way to programatically display network availability indicator in the application ( may be as online/offline indicators colored green/red respectively) to alert the user about internet problems.
(iii)Is there any readily available plugins to indicate network availibility.
