Add new chart type to use in Pentaho User Console

I found there are lots of chart type available to be used in the follow website and also the source code has been provided.

I would like to know if there is any step by step guide to guide you through on how you can add a new chart type to Pentaho so that I can use it in the Pentaho User Console?
