Hi all,
I completed the confusing process of migration my authorization database to MySQL and my authentication schemes to LDAP. All the Sample/Steel Wheels/BI Developers stuff seems to work across the board for both "Admin" and "RegularUsers".
I now publish my metadata.xmi file into my own repository (call it "nuts") and reference it from a simple report. (Note, the "publish from the PME doesn't work, I need to manually copy my metadata.xmi into pentaho_solutions/nuts, but that's for another post).
Running the report using an Admin group user, everything works as expected. Running the report as a "RegularUsers" gives me report validation failed. In the pentaho.log, the only significant entries I can see (now that I've turned on Debugging) is that the MODEL_BV_1 cannot be found when I run as a "RegularUsers".
Obviously, the PAC doesn't work anymore since I'm now using MySQL. The datasource in the metadata.xmi is JNDI and I created the JNDI source in tomcat and in the MySQL database. I have a feeling this is permissions based but I can't seem to find where the permissions on the datasource/metamodel would be located.
As a note, I tried granting metadata security to both groups (Admin and RegularUsers) inside the model itself, but no luck there.
Any lead on this would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Pat
