Refresh Solution Repository

Every time I make changes to an xAction in Design Studio, I have to go to the "Administration Console" and refresh the Solution Repository, before I can run and test it. Is this the normal way to do it? Am I doing anything wrong?

Is there a way to avoid going to the "Administration Console" to refresh the Solution Repository every time?
