Hi,
I'm new to Kettle, I'm using it for basic ETL scripts and tasks, source data all resided on the internet (Open Data portals), and target reports are posted to the internet on my clients web site. I'm a consultant working at home on my laptop, so I tend to host all my apps on Heroku. Does anyone have any experience deploying scripts / apps on Heroku, Amazon, or something similar? What has been the basic cost?
ALso, is it possible to simply deploy are .jar file and run the kettle XML files against it (.ktl)? That would be ideal. In fact, I would love to write Jython scripts against such a jar, but I guess the whole is too complex for that type of typical API use.
Many thanks, love the tool! :)
